Project Description:
Supporting women’s awareness, confidence and individual capabilities – is crucial to enable women to make transformational change. Provide opportunities, through the creation of spaces in which women and girls can grow and thrive. Given that discriminatory social attitudes, beliefs and social norms can negatively affect women and girls’ empowerment. Seeks to understand, explore and influence change in attitudes, as well as foster opportunities for influencing social norms in the longer term.
In 2020
- 120 mango seedlings were distributed at Maviddapuram for 13 beneficiaries as a follow-up activities of Social action projects.
- International Women’s Day event conducted at kittu poonka/ Jaffna and awareness creation sessions on SGBV, honoring women achievers and organized trade fair to empower women entrepreneurs were organized
- Virtual book launch was conducted in Community empowering journey
