About US
JSAC
JSAC is a Sri Lankan non-governmental organisation providing services throughout the Jaffna Peninsula and the Northern and Eastern provinces with projects currently active in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts.
Founded in 2001, we are a special protection NGO that works with the most vulnerable members of society: former IDPs (returnees), women headed families and children in areas of poverty.
We implement projects that will reduce the impact of disaster and trauma, and promote durable development. In particular we work to protect children and women.

A MESSAGE
from the cEO
Celebrating 20 years in Humanitarian works…
During the 20th years of JSAC’s journey, its priority remains to be women and children. To contribute to a just world, JSAC has continued to voice on women issues, ensure child protection, improve livelihood, ensure reintegration, improve health, empower youth and empower women on political platform. According to the strategic plan contributing to the vision and mission of the organization, over 60,000 individuals from 32 divisional secretariat areas and 120 Grama Niladhari divisions in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu , Vavuniya and Mannar in the Northern Province, Trincomalee in Eastern Province have benefited directly and indirectly from our work.
This year 2020 All the world underwent the Covid 19 Pandemic situation have affected our implementation lot, even though, our staff commitments and the hard work we could cover all the works what we have planned. Additionally, JSAC has supported the vulnerable families who have been affected by the pandemic situation via providing dry rations.
Further, we have enabled people to upgrade their lives through trainings, material assistance, network, infrastructure, in kind supports, discussions, awareness, counseling and provision of basic needs. The annual report for 2019 portrays this year achievements in our working sectors and the finance associated with it. I am grateful to our free-handed donors and partners for their financial assistance, district government agents, divisional secretaries, heads of the relevant government departments, and other supported government officials for their cooperation, colleagues from other civil society organizations for their valuable suggestions and grassroots level organizations for their dedication.
Last but not the least, I would like to show my gratitude to the President and the members of the Governing Board of JSAC for their timely strategic guidance to achieve JSAC’s mission. Also, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our staff of JSAC for their dedicated work and contributions to achieve our targets. Since the allocation for the NGOs are now limited, JSAC seeks for more cost-effective measures of implementation next year with innovative approaches.
I highly encourage you to have a look at the report and provide us your constructive feedback to improve our work.
Thank you.

A Story To Our Journey
Collaborate with team members to rise
The world calls for, and expects from us, simplicity of life, the spirit of prayer, charity towards all, especially towards the lowly and the poor. When someone does something that.
They really have a choice. Maybe what I mean to say is did they really have a chance. Harness the power of social media to spread.
